Why We Built Realyst

I didn’t start in real estate as an agent.

I was a mortgage broker and moving company owner — working closely with agents every day, seeing how deals actually came together behind the scenes.

And over time, I started noticing something.

The Problem No One Talks About

The agents who were trying to do things right —
the ones carefully analyzing deals, crafting strong offers, and building real strategies —

were the ones being penalized.

They were stuck at their desks.

Spending hours on research.
Missing opportunities.
Losing time they could have spent building relationships.

At the same time, other agents were out:

  • meeting people

  • growing their network

  • staying visible

But often skipping the deeper work that actually wins deals.

Both sides matter. But the system forces a trade-off.

That Didn’t Make Sense to Me

I kept thinking:

Why should doing better work slow you down?

Why are great agents losing opportunities because of time?

And the more I asked around, the clearer it became:

This wasn’t just a few people.

This was how the entire workflow worked.

The Shift

When I started working on my own real estate investment strategies, I had a realization:

Why isn’t this automated?

That’s when Realyst started.

How It Started

The first version was simple.

A renovation report.

I had seen so many homeowners who were:

  • house-rich

  • cash-poor

And as a mortgage broker, I knew:

the right renovation + refinance strategy could unlock real wealth.

But as I built that, I realized something bigger:

This wasn’t just about renovations.

It was about:

  • pricing

  • deal analysis

  • offer strategy

  • client communication

So I kept building.

What Realyst Became

Realyst is built to solve the most important — and most time-consuming — part of the business:

the deal

Instead of spending hours behind the scenes, agents can now:

  • present clear strategies to clients

So they can get back to:

building relationships, meeting people, and growing their business

Why I Built It This Way

I didn’t come from traditional realtor training.

And that turned out to be an advantage.

I approached this like a client would:

  • detail-oriented

  • selective

  • focused on clarity

If something didn’t feel clear, actionable, and valuable to me:

it wasn’t good enough
